How
It Works...
Disclaimer: All bidders for
this stallion service auction are responsible for contacting stallion
owners/representatives before bidding to ensure all information is
accurate and up to date. We, at ALPEA, try our best to ensure
everything is correct to the best of our abilities; However, we
acknowledge that mistakes do sometimes occur. Checking with the
stallion owners keeps everyone clear on all information, fees, etc.
The Alamo Gold
Stallion Service Auction is auctioning just the stallion service
(breeding) itself. All chute fees, mare care, collection fees,
etc. are the responsibility of the mare owner. All these extra
fees are between the stallion owner/representative and mare
owner. As all breeding services will normally have some extra
fees involved, it is solely the responsibility of the mare owner to
clarify all these fees BEFORE bidding, breeding, etc.
Sealed Bids...
- accepted with
postmarks (no meter postmarks!) from Dec 15th through Jan 31st
- fill out one bid
form per individual breeding being bid on...more than one form can be
sent in the same envelope
- make sure to
include a check for each money amount....checks must accompany bid or
bid will not be valid
- lowest bid
...starting at the stallions listed minimum bid amount ...that still
wins the stallion breeding service will be accepted
- all checks for
bids not accepted will have void
written across them and mailed back to the owners
- Sealed bids will
be opened at a futurity committee meeting on Feb
4th
- All are
welcome to attend the 'sealed bid opening' meeting
After Jan 31st...
- all unsold
breedings will become available for the listed minimum bid amount on a
first come, first serve basis
- all first come,
first serve bids may be paid for with a credit card or Paypal
- when using the
paypal/credit card option, an office fee will be charged to cover the
fees charged to ALPEA by Paypal
- the office fee
for Paypal/credit cards will be the exact amount Paypal charges ALPEA
rounded up to the nearest dollar
Winning Bidder...
- All winning
bidders and stallion owners of sold breedings will be informmed via
USPS.
- ALPEA will also
attempt to notify by phone
- The notifictaion
letter should be kept for the bidders records and may be requested (to
be shown) by stallion owner
- If proof of the
sold breeding is requested by stallion owner, please understand that it
is only to keep the different futurities straight - as some stallion
owners participate in numerous different futurities.
